7. Standard Installation Specifications
7.1 Gap Sealing Rule
All splicing gaps must be filled with neutral silicone sealant
- 1. Installation Type 1: Aluminum cover plate compresses the sheet joint gap
- 2. Installation Type 2: Splicing gap between two aluminum cover profiles
- 3. Node Detail Treatment: Neutral sealant filling required for all roof node joints
7.2 Overlap Lap Requirement
- • Upper & lower sheet overlap length: 20 cm
- • Seal all overlapping gaps with neutral silicone sealant
7.3 Screw Fixing Operation Steps & Notes
Operation Steps:
- 1. Drill and enlarge screw holes in advance
- 2. Install self-tapping screws (Do not over-tighten screws)
Mandatory Installation Notes:
- 1. Waterproof rubber gaskets must be matched with each screw
- 2. Expanded hole diameter = screw diameter + 4mm
- 3. Purpose of hole expansion: Prevent sheet cracking caused by thermal expansion and cold contraction
