Softlite – Polycarbonate Sheet

1. Raw Materials and Production Process

  • Raw material: Polycarbonate sourced primarily from Covestro and Sabic. No recycled or reprocessed materials are used to guarantee consistent product quality.
  • Double-sided high-concentration UV coating effectively extends outdoor service life and boosts anti-aging performance.

2. Product Features & Advantages

  • It integrates the strengths of solid polycarbonate sheets and corrugated polycarbonate panels. Roll-pack design simplifies transportation, and custom lengths are available. Overlapping installation is straightforward with excellent waterproof performance and high construction efficiency. It delivers outstanding deflection performance: a 1.5 mm thick Softlite achieves equivalent rigidity to a 3 mm thick solid polycarbonate sheet.
  • Semi-matte surface treatment softens transmitted light for a bright, comfortable visual effect.

Available Colors

AC932# Brown, AC001# Lake Blue, AC002# Royal Blue, AC027# White, AC257# Grass Green, AC547# Orange Yellow

Overlapping Installation Methods

  • Horizontal overlap: Aluminium bar overlapping (covering 2.5 wave crests) or aluminium bar with aluminium base overlapping
  • Vertical overlap: Aluminium bar overlapping (20 cm overlap length) or aluminium bar with aluminium base overlapping (20 cm overlap length)
  • Mandatory rule: Vertical overlapping length shall not be less than 20 cm. Neutral silicone sealant must be applied to all joints and gaps.

Fastening Requirements

Special waterproof gaskets are required for self-tapping screws; screws cannot be driven directly into the panel surface. Pre-drill and enlarge holes with a diameter 4 mm larger than the screw diameter to prevent panel cracking caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
